We are the fourth largest Probation Trust in England and Wales. We employ over 1,050 full time equivalent staff who are based mainly in our ten Local Delivery Units (LDUs).
Each LDU is managed by an Assistant Chief Officer and all ten work closely with the 22 Local Authorities and their Community Safety Partnerships, Health Authorities and seven Area Planning Boards. We also work closely with our criminal justice partners in HM Court Service, the Crown Prosecution Service, the police, the Legal Services Commission, the four prisons in Wales and the 18 Youth Offending Teams. We prepare over 15,000 reports for the ten Crown Courts and 30 Magistrates Courts in Wales each year; and we supervise over 15,000 offenders on Court orders in the community.
