Diversity and equality

Diversity and equality

The Wales Probation Trust has a long-standing commitment to Diversity. It has many policies in place that reflect good practice based on the principles of equality.

Ensuring that equality is embedded into all our work is central to our values as an organisation whilst we continue to promote fairness, dignity and respect.

The Chief Executive has overall responsibility for Equality and Diversity and will continue to ensure that the Trust remains focussed in
delivering a service that is accessible by all and develops a workplace culture that values and embraces diversity.

The Wales Probation Equality Information Report 2011 – 2012 has been produced following the Equality Act specific duties which came into force on the 10th September 2011. These duties require public bodies to publish relevant appropriate information which demonstrate its compliance with the duty. We value feedback on the information presented in this report from all interested parties including staff, stakeholders, voluntary groups and statutory organisations. The feedback will assist Wales Probation to identify and fill information gaps and will also assist in the development of our equality objectives.
